Hamish Thompson is a freelance script development assistant based in North Devon. He has worked across publicly funded and studio originated films, including projects for The Walt Disney Studios (Searchlight Pictures), BBC Film and Film4.
He is a Trustee of Beaford, one of the UK’s oldest rural arts charities, where he advises the organisation on Festival Strategy, bids for public funding and moving image projects.
He also serves as a member of Press Reset, a BFI scheme linked to the Disability Screen Advisory Group, which works to address discrimination and open access to the screen industries.
Hamish graduated from the School of Film and Television at Falmouth University in 2020 and is currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Script Development at the National Film and Television School.
