Hamish Thompson is a freelance script editor based in North Devon. He has previously worked in development across publicly funded and studio originated films, including projects for The Walt Disney Studios (Searchlight Pictures), Netflix and Film4.
He is a Trustee of Beaford, one of the UK’s oldest rural arts charities, where he advises the organisation on Festival Strategy, bids for public funding and moving image projects.
He also serves as a member of Press Reset, a BFI scheme linked to the Disability Screen Advisory Group, which works to address discrimination and open access to the screen industries.
Hamish graduated from the School of Film and Television at Falmouth University in 2020 and later achieved a Professional Diploma in Script Development at the National Film and Television School.
